Brevyx ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered resume tailoring service via a web application and Chrome browser extension. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google OAuth. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Profile Data

You provide professional information including work history, education, skills, projects, and certifications. This data is stored in our database and used solely to generate tailored resumes on your behalf.

Job Posting Content

When you use the Chrome extension or paste a job description, we process the text of the job posting to tailor your resume. This content is sent to our servers for AI processing and is not stored after the resume is generated.

Generated Resumes

Resumes generated by our service are stored in your account so you can access and download them later.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or other payment card details on our servers. We receive and store only transaction metadata (amount, date, Stripe customer ID) to maintain your purchase history.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Resume generation: Your profile data and job posting content are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate tailored resumes. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy. Data sent via the API is not used to train their models.
  • Account management: Your email is used for account identification and, if necessary, to contact you about your account.
  • Service improvement: We may use aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to improve our service.

4. Chrome Extension

The Brevyx Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

  • activeTab: Used to read the content of the current tab when you click the extension, so we can extract the job description. We only access the page you are actively viewing and only when you initiate the action.
  • storage: Used to store your authentication token locally in the browser so you stay logged in to the extension.

The extension does not track your browsing history, run in the background, or access any tabs or pages without your explicit action.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party services that are essential to operating Brevyx:

  • Anthropic (Claude API): Receives profile data and job descriptions for AI-powered resume generation.
  • Supabase: Provides our database and authentication infrastructure.
  • Stripe: Processes payments securely.
  • Google: Provides OAuth sign-in.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data, profile information, and generated resumes are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual resumes at any time from your dashboard. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below. Upon account deletion, we will remove all your personal data from our systems within 30 days.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication tokens, and Row Level Security policies on our database to ensure you can only access your own data.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data in your profile
  • Delete your data and account
  • Export your generated resumes
